This announcement totally caught me off guard. I was still figuring what the second part of the Versace + H&M collection would consist of and daydreaming about the Tom Ford+H&M release. I love that H&M is being unpredictable. They are having fun with fashion, and that is what its all about.
For those of you that are not familiar with the Italian design house Marni, they are known for their colour blocking with neutral colours, using volume and unusual shapes. Their shoes are also quite amazing. I don't know how I feel about this collaboration yet. Maybe when the images start to trickle out it'll make a difference.

  • African Shea Butter: The smell of this was off putting at first but you get used to it. I use it for my hair, skin. Its amazing! I have very dry skin in the winter. So I do a deep moisturize once a week. I also mix it with lavender oil for a nicer smell.
  • Johnson's Baby Gel : The best thing ever. Amazing for dry skin. I use it right after I hop out the shower and its absorbs right into my skin.
  • Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Ashy Skin: I've used Palmer's cocoa butter for yonks now. Except it just doesn't work in the winter when its super dry. So I switched to this. Its amazing as it contains Alpha and Beta Hydroxy, which is good for people with cracked and dry skin. Its not heavy and slides on beautifully. The only down side to this is the smell. Its smells like chocolate. Literally!!
  • Origins Checks and Balance Face Froth: Best face wash period. Its good for dry, oily or combination skin. Smell medicinal though.
  • Clarins Hands and Nail Treatment Cream: I've shopped high and low for a good hand cream and I found this. Its a bit pricey but totally worth it.
  • St Ives Apricot Scrub: My friend Vanessa introduced me to this. I use it once a week and it leaves my skin looking and feeling smooth.
  • Bioderma: This is the BEST make-up remover in the world. I love love love it!! My friend Kemi introduced me to this on my last visit to Edmonton. Only a few stores stock it in Vancouver and I just had to find it. Bioderma takes the make-up right off as well as all the yuky build up from the day. Amazing I tell you.

I've been looking for a good fitting blazer for almost a year now and I really haven't found anything I'm in love with. Don't you hate when you have a certain idea in your mind and you can't seem to find it anywhere. I was going through my dad's closet and I found this jacket. I decided to steal borrow it. I think it might come in handy again very soon.

Christmas is fast upon us. With the festive season, comes a lot of partying!! If  like me, you are wondering about what to wear to all those Christmas parties coming up, Self Magazine has this amazing editorial  from the December issue with Nikki Reed from Twilight to give you ideas on how to sparkle this Christmas season. I'm absolutely in love with all the dresses but the gold feathered dress from Haute Hippie gives me goosebumps!! .

The weather is getting furiously cold here in Vancouver and I hate it. I'm more of a warm weather kind of girl. Shooting this I underestimated how cold it was. I had no intentions of keeping the fingerless mittens on but it was just soooo cold. The look works though.
My new obsession is leather. I got this skirt a while back and I just love how it 'swishes', very lady like, it makes me feel like dancing the Pasodoble.

Last week I posted some images on The Fashion Bomb, you can check them out here. While the comments I received were generally positive with some very good feedback. I could not ignore the negative ones. I mean, theres something to be said about someone who sits behind their computer to make nasty and personal comments about someone they know nothing about!

Before I started fashion blogging, my other blogger friends had warned me about the so called Anonymous commenters. I shrugged it off because as bloggers we put ourselves out there to be critiqued. Fashion is very objective. What might look good to one person, might be an eyesore to another.

However my very first hateful comment made me laugh (they said I looked like a gremlin with lipstick on), because I knew that I had finally touched someone's soul. I was doing something so right that this so called person was pissed. Thats the way I see it! I make it a rule to delete the comments that are negative, I do not moderate my comments for a reason. But I will not allow someone's low self esteem and stupidty to be sprawled on this blog, take it somewhere else.
For the rest of you that take your time to leave positive and constructive comments. Thank you very much, It is appreciated more than you know.
